Thomas Turner Peak (1859–1931)

Thomas Turner was born on 14 Mar, 1859 in North Shields, Northumberlanda1, the first child of John Peak (1838–1900)★, a forgeman, and Dinah Smith (1842–1900)★. He is Ian's great great grandfather.

Thomas was recorded in the 1861 census at 43 Middle Street, North Shieldsb1 with his father John and mother Dinah.

By the time of the 1871 census he was living at Millers Bank, Bell Street, North Shieldsc1 with his father John, now a plater in shipyard, mother Dinah and three siblings John, James Turner and Jane.

He married Elizabeth Hinksman (1862–1937)★ on 22 Sep, 1879 at St Peter's Church, Wallsenda2 . They went on to have nine children.

Thomas was recorded in the 1881 census at 19 Edwin Street, West Hartlepoole1 with his father John, now a plater, mother Dinah and four siblings John, a general labourer, Jane, Louis and Rebecca Norvell.

By the time of the 1891 census he was living at 5 Wright Street, Cowpenf1 with his wife Elizabeth and five children Dinah, John Richard, Elizabeth Jane, Mary Ann and Margery Todd.

Thomas died at the age of seventy-one on 7 Feb, 1931 at 124 Hambledon Street, Blytha7 He was survived by his wife Elizabeth.
