Elizabeth Hinksman (1862–1937)

Elizabeth was born on 23 Aug, 1862 at Bell Street, North Shieldsa1, the second daughter of Richard Hinksman (1833–1911)★, a mariner, and Mary Ann Spencer (1829–1888)★, a general servant. She is Ian's great great grandmother.

Elizabeth was recorded in the 1871 census at Maitland's Quay, Bell Street, North Shieldsb1 with her father Richard, now a seaman, mother Mary Ann and two siblings Jane Ann, a servant and Richard, a grocers assistant.

She married Thomas Turner Peak (1859–1931)★, a mason, on 22 Sep, 1879 at the age of seventeen at St Peter's Church, Wallsenda2 and went on to have nine children with him.

In the 1891 census she was living at 5 Wright Street, Cowpend1 with her husband Thomas Turner, now a rivetter and boiler maker, five children Dinah Peak, John Richard Peak, Elizabeth Jane Peak, Mary Ann Peak and Margery Todd Peak and father Richard, now a fitters labourer.

Elizabeth died at the age of seventy-four on 13 Feb, 1937 at Knight Memorial Hospital, Blytha7
