Philip Whitbread (1817–1890)

Philip was born in 1817 in Gamlingay, Cambridgeshire, the third son of Joseph Whitebread★ and Elizabeth Saunderson★. He was baptised as an infant on 25 Dec, 1817 at St. Mary's Church, Gamlingaya1. He is Stephanie's 3x great grandfather.

He married Charlotte Ginn (1815–1892)★ on 15 Feb, 1838 at St. Mary's Churchb1,c1 . They had four children.

By the time of the 1851 census he was living at Higham Road, Rushdeng1 with his wife Charlotte and four children Sarah Ann, George, a shoe maker, Mary and Susan.

In the 1861 census he was living at Higham Hill, Rushdend1 with his wife Charlotte and four children Sarah Ann, George, Mary, a shoe closer and Susan.

Philip was recorded in the 1871 census in Rushden Hill, Rushdenh1 with his wife Charlotte.

By the time of the 1881 census he was living at Higham Hillk1 with his wife Charlotte.

Philip died at the age of seventy-three on 27 Apr, 1890 in Rushden. His death was attributed to "disease of liver"c3.c3
