Charlotte Ginn (1815–1892)

Charlotte was probably born in 1815 in Potton, Bedfordshire, the third daughter of Thomas Ginn (1785–1876)★ and Mary Surkett (1786–1855)★. She is Stephanie's 3x great grandmother.

She married Philip Whitbread (1817–1890)★, a labourer, on 15 Feb, 1838 at St. Mary's Church, Gamlingaya1,b1 . They had four children.

By the time of the 1851 census she was living at Higham Road, Rushdenf1 with her husband Philip, now a railway porter and four children Sarah Ann Whitbread, George Whitbread, a shoe maker, Mary Whitbread and Susan Whitbread.

In the 1861 census she was living at Higham Hill, Rushdenc1 with her husband Philip, now an agricultural labourer, four children Sarah Ann, George, Mary, a shoe closer and Susan and father Thomas, an agricultural labourer.

Charlotte was recorded in the 1871 census in Rushden Hill, Rushdeng1 with her husband Philip, now a coal merchant.

By the time of the 1881 census she was living at Higham Hillh1 with her husband Philip.

She was recorded in the 1891 census at Prospect Place Shop, Rushden Hillk1. Charlotte is lodging with James Bland, a grocer and beer seller. Her grandsons John and Sydney Rogers have also taken rooms at the same lodgings.

Charlotte died at the age of seventy-seven on 9 Mar, 1892 in Rushden. Her death was attributed to "paralysis" (commonly caused by a stroke)b3.b3
