We’re back on the track of the Rose family. We have the baptism of Joseph, son of William in Lower Heyford on 24 January 1651. They were from Heyford Warren, aka Upper Heyford, so we checked the registers there and found a William and Ann Rose having 9 children baptised. The last was “Josephus” on 29 December 1651. We feel that this is the same Joseph that we saw in Lower Heyford. 24 Jan is just a month after 29 Dec in the old calendar. Our theory is that the family moved from Upper to Lower Heyford at this time and for some reason decided to re-baptise Joseph.

We now need to check the Lower Heyford registers for the Rose family.
