We saw a number of possible children for Joseph Rose and Ann George in Somerton and decided to read the registers from 1758 onwards

We added all our Rose findings to the Ancestry tree and after some fruitless searching for more information on Benjamin and Susannah or Joseph and Phrisis we decided to tackle the early North Aston register.

Just as I was going to bed I clicked on another person’s tree containing Joseph Rose and saw a link to a very early register for Lower Heyford. In 1651 I found a baptism of a Joseph, son of William (the tree had Edward as a father):

  • 1651 Jan 24 - Joseph sonn of William Rose of Hayfd Warr1

According to Parish Mouse, Heyford Warren is another name for Upper Heyford.
