Family History

I spent some time searching the Northamptonshire Archives service. It is so slow that each page refresh takes about three minutes to respond, so I did it in the background while I was working. I wanted to find how to request Thomas and Susannah Tew’s wills (see 9 Apr entry). I finally found the relevant information, They hold copies of the wills from 1510 – 1800 but it is not searchable through the archive interface. The main search is FindMyPast. To view any wills at the Record Office or for a quotation for digital images we have to send an email to archivist@northamptonshire.gov.uk.
