I came across an interesting story from Usk, Monmouthshire. A Spanish sailor named Yusaf Garcia was tried for murdering five members of the Watkins family in 1878.
The interesting part was that Yusaf had been stranded in Cardiff after the company of a Spanish ship had been paid off. Is this the kind of event that could have left Joseph Ximanes in South Wales?
