I discovered that battery diaries for the 4th Mountain Artillery may still exist somewhere. It seems to cover at least the period of the Occupation of Crete in 1897 as referenced by this web page https://britishinterventionincrete.wordpress.com/category/european-intervention-crete/british-army-in-crete/royal-artillery/
