S spent most of today exploring Ancestry hints on the Alcock and Tew Tree. She fleshed out the entire descendant tree of George Tew born C. 1826 who married Elizabeth Ann Sadler, and made a huge amount of progress. When we researched this branch a couple of years ago we found that there were two George Tews born within a couple of years of one another in or near Shalstone, Buckinghamshire. We’re not confident how this George is related to her but it is likely that his great grandfather was Corbett Tew, who might also be the great grandfather of the George who is Steph’s ancestor.
