I’ve been working on the biography of my great grandfather, George Henry Chambers, and have made some good progress piecing together his movements to and from India in the initial part of his military service. While searching google I came across the bio of a Joseph Whiting who served in the same brigade as George and served in India for the same period. It’s very likely that they knew one another, although Joseph left the Royal Artillery in 1891 to join the new Army Service Corps.
